Canggu is located in north of seminyak, precisely lies between seminyak and tanah lot this area is popular area event though the dark or black sand beaches which are not particularly good for swimming but it is compatible for surfing because it has good surf for intermediate surfer. There are a variety of small hotel and bungalow collections in this area. The most prevalent form of travel accommodation is private villas.
Canggu which can pronounce “chan-goo” the name is derived from the samparang chronicles part-myth, part-history which is related to the Balinese ancient king. About three km north of petitenget, canggo the name of the village two km in coastal bali island with all it best. The canggu people are still working as a fisherman.
