The Legian Area

Legian is located more or less a half kilometer to north from kuta. Legian and kuta is a favorite place for tourism. Legian in the Balinese language, the word ‘Legian’ means anything sweet, pleasant, happy, and delightful to the senses. Here there are many interesting pleases that are building, around the egged of the street you can find handicraft market, bar, cafe, showroom, event hotel and villas.

In edition the beach Legian has the beautiful beach where you can relax and enjoyable with the beautiful beach views. There are so many water sport are providing here like you can try to hop on boogie boards and surfboards hired from the beach or take surfing lessons. Have a manicure, pedicure or braid your hair while relaxing under your umbrella.

There many accommodation all ready build here like, villas, hotel and home-stays, are available along with some good eating and a few interesting bars, most of which close by midnight. Legian has less traffic than either Central Kuta or Seminyak as it has its own one-way road system leading in and out. The beach hotels are separated from the actual beach by the new village-owned roadway. Legian also has some good restaurants with good views of the surf in its seaside hotels. You cand find anything from Chinese, French, Italian, and of course Balinese food on these restaurants.

Afew years ago Legian was a small village situated a short distance from kuta, but has spread out so much that Legian is now part of the greater Kuta area. Legian is a quiter alternative and has a more sophisticated nightlife scene focusing on dining-out and socializing rather than full-on partying.

While nightlife is not so frantic, Legian does have its own entertainment scene. Close to the action but far enough away for some down time, Legian still retains something of its village atmosphere and is easy to walk around with good shopping scattered everywhere, tempting you to come.
